Thomas Perry returns

For those of you who, like me, are fans of Thomas Perry, I have a piece of good news. The galley of his new book, Nightlife, arrived today!

Okay, I know what you're thinking. "The book isn't being released until next March -- how does this do me any good now?" Fine, it doesn't. But it's still very cool news.

Thomas Perry is one of the very best contemporary writers of crime fiction and just knowing that a new book of his exists is something to be excited about.

In the meantime, if you haven't read The Butcher's Boy or Vanishing Act or Pursuit (the first winner of the Gumshoe Award), then you have no excuse. Go buy a copy or pick one up at the library today. Thomas Perry rocks!

Heheh, getting galleys WAY in advance. One of those really cool things and at the same time, frustrating things about this job, innit? I got a galley of Stephen White's new one due out next, what MARCH or something? you go on too much about a book and people wanna thwack you.
Thomas Perry - add that to my list, but it's not even visible on the library's pages yet.

I got my galley yesterday, too. Trying very, very hard to hold off on reading the book for a little while yet.

Where is my copy? ha? You reviewer types get all the fun....

KILL ME by stephen white is brilliant!!! his psychologist character from all of his other novels takes a back seat with this one....it is realllly truly a page-turner....i read it a month ago...now i need to find the new thomas perry ARC....come on....HELLLP!!!!

Monty,
You are correct, sir.

Perry is very, very good.

SO glad to see that comment about Stephen's upcoming book I wrote him email about it that used rather impolite terms to tell im how good it was. we talkeda bout how you can't us THAT as a blurb, because it would probably end up like **** **** on the dust jacket and well, you know... But yeah, i thought it was brillant and his best to date. So what ELSE am I reading that excites me? Sigh. Not a lot. Though a new PILE arroved yesterday - 5 new ones out of 8, I think.
